The Brownies of the Mansion at Hillside are under siege from Pixie forces. The Pixies, whose treacherous weavings mimic those of our own useful backyard spiders, are determined to claim Hillside for their own. Will the faithful Brownies, along with their allies, be able to protect their homeland and dear loved ones, and drive the Pixie forces back? The tale not only provides an entertaining story but also brings magic to the ordinary spiders, insects, and other creatures of nature that thrive in the same spaces where we humans make our homes. - Summary by Catherine Arwine
