The Richest Man in Babylon is a series of parables written by George S. Clason, an American author. Mr. Clason dispenses lessons in personal finance using the land of Babylon as its backdrop, when the city was a prosperous region some 4000+ years prior. The book shares advice on the perils of handling money, using money as a tool for increased wealth, careful considerations when dealing with loans, and the importance of honoring obligations in loan repayment.

While later publications of this book contains additional stories not contained within this version, along with essays on the various topics. This audiobook contains the original three parables. (Summary by Gpolum)
