LibriVox volunteers bring you 12 recordings of To The Cicada by Yone Noguchi.
This was the Weekly Poetry project for June 2, 2024. ------
Yonejirō Noguchi was an influential Japanese writer of poetry, fiction, essays and literary criticism in both English and Japanese. He is known in the west as Yone Noguchi. He was the father of noted sculptor Isamu Noguchi. This spring there is an emergence of several broods of Cicada at the same time, creating what some social media call a "Cicada Apocalypse." - Summary by Wikipedia
